Illest Intertainment was established off of $257.32 in August of 1999.
By: Dion Wilson. The label started off with 3 of many very artistic young men around the local area, these 3 men signed under the Recording Label at that time. (Soulja Ed aka Eddy Kool, Big J aka J-Rock, and Don Ka aka A-Town) named Tru Playa Records. The label slowly prospered well for about four months. Although the label it self was doing fine, Many questions arose by various females concerning the title of the Label “Try Playa Records” ; questions concerning was the CEO really a True Playa and everybody on the label also. Because of all the female concerns, in being that females are very big avid supporters of music, The CEO decided to come up with another name to replace Tru Playa Records a upcoming Record Label. After Many Thoughts:
Illest Intertainment was the new name meaning absolutely sick with all musical abilities and all artist. While regaining respect with all females, when a great percentage of them found out that the Recording Label name was changed basically because of female support. The Newly Named Label Progressed exceptionally well from where Tru Playa Records Left off.
Illest Intertainment has came a very long way and with the help of God, the Underground Recording Label and Now Conglomerate Company is still doing exceptionally well, and to this day, the year of our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty Illest Intertainment, Illest Intertainment Worldwide is still doing business as one of longest up and running Independent Recording labels in the nation.
